Cornerstone of life
Health, family, and career are cornerstones of life. To understand which one is the most important just try some permutations and check whether you can survive. For example, you don't have a career but have a lovely family and sound health, you will be able to survive for many years. Or if you have health and career and no family, still you would be able to survive. But would you be able to survive if you have a good family and career but have poor health? The answer is NO. Yet we take our health for granted.
We all know that we will be able to take care of our family and career if we have sound health. But how much effort do we put into taking care of our health?
In a bid to take care of our family, career, and our dreams, health often becomes the last priority on our list, until it hits us hard.
What's the definition of health? How to take care of it? what are the moments for action?
Again, health has 3 cornerstones to it- physical well-being, mental well-being, and emotional well-being.
Physical well-being means having good physical health, not falling sick often, having good energy and stamina. Ability to cope up with infections, adverse weathers, and travel conditions.
Mental well-being means having sound mental health, ability to understand and solve complex problems and situations.
Emotional well-being means having good emotional health, the ability to regulate emotions, not having an excess of any emotions such as anger, grief, attachment, ego, greed, etc.
In order to take care of your health, all the 3 aspects need to be taken care. For physical well-being, daily exercise, a balanced diet, and proper rest are important. For mental well-being, problem-solving and light entertainment is important. For emotional well-being, healthy communication and relations are musts.
